What Morphio handles
When you use the app, you may choose or capture photos, arrange them into projects, generate morph previews and exports, and save the results to your device or share them using Apple’s system share sheet.
- Photos and videos: the images you select, the face landmarks used to align them, project information, previews, and exported videos or GIFs.
- Purchase information: subscription or lifetime-purchase status needed to provide Morphio Pro access.
- Analytics and diagnostics: app usage events, installation identifiers, general location, and technical information used to measure usage and investigate crashes.
- Permissions: access to Photos or Camera only when you choose a feature that needs it.
Face data collected and how it is used
Morphio handles face data only after you choose a photo from your device or capture one with the camera. “Face data” means the selected or captured photo containing a face; detected face count and face bounding boxes; up to 478 two-dimensional landmark coordinates describing the face contour, eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, and other facial regions; any landmark positions you manually adjust; and aligned images, previews, morph frames, videos, or GIFs derived from those photos.
Morphio uses face data only to check that a photo contains a usable face, align facial features between the photos you select, let you correct landmark placement, and render, preview, save, or share the face morph you request. Morphio does not use face data to identify or authenticate a person, create an identity profile, infer sensitive personal traits, train machine-learning models, advertise, track users, or perform analytics.
Face data storage, sharing, retention, and deletion
Face detection, landmark analysis, alignment, morph rendering, and export generation run on your device using a face-landmark model bundled inside the app. Morphio does not upload face data, photo content, project files, or generated morphs to Morphio servers. Morphio has no server that receives or stores face data.
Selected photos, optional manually adjusted landmark coordinates, project settings, and project cover previews are stored in Morphio’s private app storage on your device. Automatically detected landmark coordinates are held in memory while Morphio analyzes or renders a face and are not saved as a separate face-data record unless you manually edit landmark placement for that project. Generated video and GIF files are created in the app’s local temporary storage. iOS may include app data in a device backup according to your Apple and device settings.
Morphio does not share face data with the developer, RevenueCat, advertising or analytics companies, data brokers, or any other third party. Apple and RevenueCat handle purchase and entitlement information but do not receive photos or face landmarks from Morphio. Face data leaves the app only when you explicitly save an export to Photos, share an export through Apple’s system share sheet, or use an Apple-managed device backup; the destination and its privacy practices then apply.
Photos, manually adjusted landmarks, project settings, and cover previews remain in local app storage until you remove the individual face, delete the project, or uninstall Morphio. Removing a face deletes its stored photo and landmark adjustments from the project. Deleting a project deletes its local project directory and the face data it contains. Temporary exports remain in iOS-managed temporary storage until the system removes them. Copies you save to Photos, share with another destination, or retain in a device backup remain until you delete them from that destination or backup.
Apple and purchase services
Morphio uses Apple’s App Store and StoreKit to display products and process payments. Morphio also uses RevenueCat to retrieve purchase offerings and verify Morphio Pro entitlements. These services may process purchase records, an app-specific customer identifier, device or diagnostic information, and entitlement status. They do not receive Morphio’s photo content for face processing.

The landing page is hosted by GitHub Pages and loads the page’s typography from Google Fonts. Those providers may receive ordinary technical request information when you visit the website; their own privacy policies apply to those requests.
Usage analytics and crash diagnostics
Morphio uses Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand feature usage and investigate stability problems. Analytics records screen views, sessions, successful morphs and exports, and standard app lifecycle and purchase events. It uses an app-installation identifier and may process general location derived from a masked IP address, device and operating-system information, language, and app version.
Crashlytics processes crash stack traces, app and device state, session information, and limited nonfatal error codes. Analytics events may appear as breadcrumbs in a crash report to explain what happened before an error.
Morphio does not send photos, facial landmarks, project names, file paths, or generated morphs to these services. The app does not attach an account identity or custom user ID to Firebase events. Advertising identifier support and vendor-identifier collection are disabled, and advertising consent is denied.

Your choices
- Choose whether to grant Photos or Camera access. You can change those permissions in iOS Settings.
- Delete Morphio projects inside the app, or remove the app to remove its locally stored projects, subject to any device backup you choose to keep.
- Manage or restore purchases through your Apple Account and the App Store.
- Use the system share sheet to decide whether and where to send an export.
Morphio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
